Title

Analysis
This substitute resolution authorizes entering into a new Intergovernmental Cooperation Agreement for the sole purpose of extending the time of performance for the subject Agreement and to authorize its execution by the Commissioner of City Development and the Board of Regents of the University of Wisconsin System relative to the continued provision of planning and design services by Robert Greenstreet to the City of Milwaukee.
Body
Whereas, On July 27, 2004, the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee via File No. 040229, authorized the Department of City Development (“DCD”) to enter into an Intergovernmental Cooperation Agreement (“Agreement”) for design and planning services from Robert Greenstreet, Dean of the School of Architecture at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee (“UWM”); and

Whereas, Said Agreement contains a Time of Performance period of one year; and

Whereas, Said one-year period is due to expire and such collaboration between UWM and the City of Milwaukee (“City”) has proven to be an appropriate and desirable means to accomplish the goals of the City regarding design and planning services; and

Whereas, To continue this unique arrangement, the City must enter into a new Agreement in substantially the same form as Exhibit A, a copy of which is attached to this Common Council File, for a one-year renewable period at a sum not to exceed $100,000; now, therefore, be it
