Analysis
This resolution will result in the sale of three tax-deed vacant lots for residential construction.
Body
Whereas, The Neighborhood Improvement Development Corporation (“NIDC”) has submitted an Offer to Purchase in the amount of $1 each the following tax-deed vacant lots for construction of five single-family homes for sale to qualified owner-occupants:

ADDRESS, TAX KEY NUMBER, ALDERMANIC DISTRICT

2367 North 5th Street, #322-1176-110-4, 6th

2357 South 10th Street, #497-1247-000-2, 12th

2361 South 10th Street, #497-0008-000-1, 12th

; and

Whereas, The Department of City Development (“DCD”) recommends acceptance of said Offer contingent upon final site and building plan approval by its Development Center prior to closing on said lots; and

Whereas, Said lots are to be sold in an “as is” condition without representations or warranties including but not limited to soil quality and subsurface condition; and

Whereas, The deed of conveyance for some of the lots may contain City-imposed deed restrictions preventing division of said lots and prohibiting construction without the prior approval of the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee; and

Whereas, For NIDC to assemble the lots and build on them, the City-imposed deed restrictions must be released; and

Whereas, This resolution will authorize the Commissioner of DCD, or designee, to prepare the necessary documents for deed restriction releases if required; and

Whereas, The City Plan Commission has determined that there is no municipal need for said lots; now, therefore, be it
