Analysis
This substitute resolution approves a settlement terms between the City of Milwaukee and Public Employees' Union Local #61, relative the settlement of over numerous grievances involving job assignments and management policies in the Operations Division of the Department of Public Works.
Body
Whereas, The City negotiating team and Public Employees' Union Local #61, LIUNA, AFL-CIO, CLC reached a settlement on numerous grievances prior to grievance arbitration hearings; and
Whereas, This memorandum of understanding constitutes the full and complete settlement of all the grievances which are set forth in the memorandum of understanding and copies of this memorandum are attached to this file and incorporated herein as though fully set forth at length; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the memorandum of understanding between the City negotiating team and Public Employees' Union Local #61, LIUNA, AFL-CIO, CLC, the terms of which are set forth in a document annexed to this file, be approved; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the proper City officers be and hereby are authorized and directed to take the necessary action to implement the terms of this memorandum of understanding; and, be it
Further Resolved, That such sums as are necessary for the implementation of the aforementioned memorandum of understanding in accordance with its terms and conditions be obtained for and charged to the appropriate departmental budget accounts in accordance with the customary reporting and accounting requirements.
