Title
Resolution approving an ambulance service plan for the citywide emergency medical service system.
Analysis
This resolution approves an ambulance service plan for the citywide emergency medical service plan for the period commencing January 1, 2005 and ending December 31, 2005.
Body
Whereas, Section 75-15-14 of the Milwaukee Code of Ordinances provides for Common Council approval of a service plan for the emergency medical services system which divides the city into ambulance service sectors and assigns certified providers in those sectors; and
Whereas, Section 75-13-b-3 of the Milwaukee Code of Ordinances provides that the service plan for the citywide emergency medical service plan commencing on January 1, 2005 may be for a period of less than 5 years; and
Whereas, The Ambulance Service Board has submitted a service plan to the Common Council for action; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the Common Council approves the following ambulance service plan for the period commencing January 1, 2005 and ending December 31, 2005:
1. Service Area #1 - Paratech Ambulance Service. East, North and West boundaries are city limits. South boundary: East along West Keefe Avenue, from city limit including West Keefe Avenue Parkway, East Keefe Avenue, and East Edgewood Avenue (exclusive) to North Dr. Martin L. King, Jr. Drive. North on North Dr. Martin L. King, Jr. Drive including North Green Bay Avenue to West Silver Spring Drive (inclusive). North along city limit from West Silver Spring Drive to city limit north (inclusive).
2. Service Area #2 - Medacare Ambulance Service. East and West boundaries are city limits. North boundary: East along West Keefe Avenue from city limit including West Keefe Avenue Parkway, East Keefe Avenue, and East Edgewood Avenue (inclusive) to North Dr. Martin L. King Jr. Drive.
