Title
Resolution declaring a vacant, tax-deed lot located at 1932-34 South Winona Lane surplus and authorizing its sale to Octavio Felix and Maria DeJesus for use as green space, in the 12th Aldermanic District.
Analysis
This resolution will result in the sale of a vacant, tax-deed lot for use as green space.
Body
Whereas, Octavio Felix and Maria DeJesus have submitted a vacant land sales agreement to purchase in the amount of $750 the vacant, tax-deed lot at 1932-34 South Winona Lane, which adjoins their property at 1935-38 South Winona Lane; and
 
Whereas, Mr. Felix and Ms. DeJesus will use the lot as additional green space; and
 
Whereas, The Department of City Development recommends acceptance of said sale to the adjoining owner since this lot is not considered a buildable lot; and
 
Whereas, Said lot is to be sold in an "as is" condition without representations or warranties including but not limited to soil quality and subsurface condition; and
 
Whereas, The City Plan Commission has determined that there is no municipal need for said lot; now, therefore, be it
 
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the vacant, tax-deed lot located at 1932-34 South Winona Lane is declared surplus, that the offer from Octavio Felix and Maria DeJesus is accepted and that the proper City officials are authorized and directed to perform such acts as necessary to carry out the intent of this resolution with the proceeds from the sale, less a 20 percent disposition cost reimbursement paid to the Redevelopment Authority of the City of Milwaukee, credited to the Reserve For Tax Deficit Fund Account No. 0001-334106.
