Title

Substitute resolution authorizing the transfer of $50,000 between Department of Public Works capital accounts to fund the installation of traffic signals at the intersection of North 35^th Street and West Hampton Avenue.

Analysis

This resolution authorizes the Department of Administration to transfer $50,000 from the Department of Public Works paving program parent capital account to the traffic signal installation capital account for the purpose of funding the installation of traffic signals at the intersection of North 35^th Street and West Hampton Avenue.  It also authorizes and directs the Commissioner of Public Works to install these signals.

Body

Whereas, Traffic controls at the intersection of North 35^th Street and West Hampton Avenue currently consist of stop signs for the traffic on North 35^th Street only; and

Whereas, There is a need for traffic signals at this intersection; and

Whereas, The total estimated cost of installing traffic signals at the intersection of North 35^th Street and West Hampton Avenue is $50,000; now, therefore, be it

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the City Comptroller of Administration is authorized and directed to transfer $50,000 from the Department of Public Works paving program parent capital account (0333-9990-R999-ST211005000) to the Department of Public Works capital account for traffic signal installation (0333-5010-R999-ST220050000) for the purpose of funding the installation of traffic signals at the intersection of North 35^th Street and West Hampton Avenue; and, be it

Further Resolved, That the Commissioner of Public Works is authorized and directed to install the traffic signals funded by this transfer of funds.
