Title
Resolution permitting a minor modification to the Detailed Planned Development known as The Sterling, located on the West Side of North Farwell Avenue and the North Side of East Royal Place, in the 3rd Aldermanic District. (DCD)
Analysis
This resolution will allow for the installation of two transformers with landscape screening along a recess of the west side of the building.
Body
Whereas, Section 295-814(5) of the Milwaukee Code of Ordinances permits modifications to planned developments after approval of the Common Council; and
 
Whereas, The third amendment to the detailed plan for a planned development known as The Sterling was approved by the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee on December 19, 2003, under File No. 030751 to allow for the construction of a multi-family residential building; and
 
Whereas, The Developer proposes to install two transformers with landscape screening along a recess of the west side of the building so that the minimum number of public parking stalls is not reduced; and
 
Whereas, The proposed transformers with landscape screening are generally consistent with the spirit and intent of the approved detailed plan, will not adversely affect surrounding development and a copy of which is attached to this Common Council File as Exhibit A which is on file in the office of the City Clerk and made a part as though fully set forth herein; now, therefore, be it
 
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the minor modification to allow for installation of two transformers with landscape screening along a recess of the west side of the building that was not previously approved as part of the Detailed Planned Development is approved.
