Body:         
Whereas, The Common Council passed File Number 930380 on July 6, 1993, an ordinance codifying the City's procedural guidelines regarding the receipt, appropriation, and expenditure of contributions; and
 
Whereas, The Milwaukee Police Department has established a Mounted Patrol Unit to provide patrol support throughout the City; and
 
Whereas, Organizations have expressed an interest in making donations of equipment and money that can be used by the Mounted Patrol Unit; now, therefore, be it
 
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the Police Department is authorized to accept donations of equipment, money, supplies, or services to be utilized by the Mounted Patrol Unit, in accordance with established City policies and procedures for acceptance of contributions; and, be it
 
Further Resolved, That such authority to accept donations for said purposed shall continue unless otherwise rescinded or amended by future Common Council action.
