Analysis
This resolution will result in the sale of a vacant, tax-deed lot for use as green space.
Body
Whereas, Christopher J. Witz and Kathleen H. Witz have submitted an Offer to Purchase, in the amount of $2,000, the vacant, tax-deed lot at 2628 South Pine Avenue that adjoins their property at 2632 South Pine Avenue and to use the lot as green space; and
 
Whereas, The Department of City Development ("DCD") recommends acceptance of said Offer; and
 
Whereas, Said lot is to be sold in an "as is" condition without representations or warranties including but not limited to soil quality and subsurface condition; and
 
Whereas, The City Plan Commission has determined that there is no municipal need for said lot; now, therefore, be it
 
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the vacant, tax-deed lot located at 2628 South Pine Avenue is declared surplus to municipal needs and the Commissioner of DCD or designee is authorized to accept the Offer to Purchase from Christopher J. Witz and Kathleen H. Witz and to perform such acts as necessary to carry out the intent of this resolution and close the sale; and, be it
 
Further Resolved, That the proceeds from the sale, less a 20 percent disposition cost reimbursement to the Redevelopment Authority of the City of Milwaukee and other sale expenses, be credited to the Reserve For Tax Deficit Fund Account No. 0001-334106.
