Resolution declaring a vacant, tax-deed lot located at 4617 West Stark Street surplus to municipal needs and authorizing its sale to Taft Parsons, Jr. and Carol Parsons for residential construction, in the 1st Aldermanic District. (DCD)
Analysis
This resolution will result in the sale of a vacant, tax-deed lot for residential construction.
Body
Whereas, Taft Parsons, Jr. and Carol Parsons have submitted an Offer to Purchase the vacant, tax-deed lot located at 4617 West Stark Street in the amount of $2,700 and to assemble said lot with their adjoining parcels for residential construction for sale to owner-occupants; and
Whereas, Mr. and Ms. Parsons have submitted preliminary site and building plans that are acceptable to the Department of City Development's (“DCD”) Development Center along with an acceptable financial plan for construction of Phase I of the Stark Street Rowhouse project; and
Whereas, DCD recommends acceptance of said Offer with closing contingent upon approval of final site and building plans by its Development Center and submission of a firm financial commitment to complete construction; and
Whereas, Said lot is to be sold in an “as is” condition without representations or warranties including but not limited to soil quality and subsurface condition; and
Whereas, The City Plan Commission has determined that there is no municipal need for said lot; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the vacant, tax-deed lot located at 4617 West Stark Street is declared surplus to municipal needs and the Commissioner of DCD or designee is authorized to accept the Offer to Purchase from Taft Parsons, Jr. and Carol Parsons and to perform such acts as necessary to carry out the intent of this resolution and close this sale; and, be it
