Analysis
This resolution will result in the sale of seven vacant, tax-deed lots for residential construction.
Body
Whereas, CCTR Group, Inc., a non-profit community development corporation, has submitted an Offer to Purchase, in the amount of $1 each, for the following vacant, tax-deed lots:

1952-54 North 27th Street, 350-1230-000-8

1956-58 North 27th Street, 350-1231-100-X

1943 North 27th Street, 349-0910-000-5

1949 North 27th Street, 349-0909-000-X

1953 North 27th Street, 349-0908-000-4

2711 West Brown Street, 349-0907-000-9

; and

Whereas, CCTR Group, Inc., will assemble the lots and create three building sites on the east side of North 27th Street and five building sites on the west side of North 27th Street for construction of single-family homes that will be sold to qualified owner-occupants; and

Whereas, The deed of conveyance for some of the lots may contain City-imposed deed restrictions preventing division of the lots and prohibiting construction without the prior approval of the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee; and

Whereas, In order for CCTR Group, Inc., to commission a survey to assemble the land to prepare for new construction, the City-imposed deed restrictions must be removed and this resolution will authorize the Department of City Development (“DCD”) to prepare the necessary documents for restriction releases; and

Whereas, DCD recommends acceptance of said Offer with closing contingent upon approved site and building plans by its Development Center and submission of a firm financial commitment to complete the project as proposed; and
