Analysis
This resolution will accept a reservation for public right-of-way purposes, thereby opening it for public street purposes, which will be used for widening the east side of South 85th Street.
Body
Whereas, A 30-foot wide reservation for public right-of-way purposes was created by Warranty Deed dated June 17, 1955, recorded on June 17, 1955 as document number 3402816; and
Whereas, A portion of South 85th Street at a width of 27.00 feet was created by Mayberry Subdivision and abuts the rear of said parcel; and
Whereas, The owners are requesting the widening of the public right-of-way allowing for public improvements and the development of their property; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the following described parcel of land, which has been reserved for public right-of-way purposes, hereby is declared open for public street purposes:
The west 30.00 feet of that part of (School Lands) Lot 3 in the Northwest ¼ of Section 16, Township 6 North, Range 21 East, described as follows: Commencing at a point in the east line of said ¼ Section, said point lying 526.36 feet south of the Northeast corner of said ¼ Section; thence South 88º 51' West 343 feet to a point; thence South, parallel to the east line of said ¼ Section 46 feet to a point; thence North 88º 51' East 343 feet to a point in said east line; thence North, along said east line, 46 feet to the point of commencement; and, be it
