Analysis
This substitute resolution authorizes the Commissioner of Public Work to execute a Service and Supply Contract with the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WISDOT) to fund removal of temporary overhead cable and installation of permanent street lighting facilities by City forces on West Bluemound Road (USH 18) from North 66th Street to North Story Parkway in conjunction with paving of that roadway. The resolution also directs the City's Comptroller to create the necessary accounts and transfer funds for construction of this project.

Whereas, The Common Council has previously approved execution of a project agreement with the Wisconsin Department of Transportation to undertake paving of West Blue Mound Road (USH 18), from North 66th Street to North Story Parkway under Common Council File Number 981633; and

Whereas, Improvements to the street lighting within the project limits are eligible for funding under the Surface Transportation Program; and,

Whereas, WISDOT has indicated that funding assistance for 100% of the estimated cost is available; now, therefore, be it

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the Commissioner of Public Works (CPW) is hereby authorized and directed to enter into an agreement with WISDOT for cost participation in the installation of street lighting facilities within the aforementioned project limits, a copy of which is attached to Common Council File Number 040022, and is incorporated in this resolution by reference as though set forth in full; and,...
