Analysis
This resolution will allow the proper City officers to accept a sanitary sewer which was built privately, in order that it can serve as a public sewer, providing service to a number of newly-created lots fronting on North 18th Street between West Juneau Avenue and West McKinley Avenue This resolution also acknowledges ownership of a new storm sewer in North 18th Street.
Body
Whereas, On December 19, 2003, the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee adopted Resolution File Number 030230 approving the final plat of the McKinley Subdivision, thereby opening North 18th Street between West Juneau Avenue and West McKinley Avenue, and creating lots fronting on North 18th Street; and

Whereas, A public sanitary sewer is needed in North 18th Street to serve those lots; and

Whereas, A private main sanitary sewer exists which could fulfill the City's needs; and

Whereas, The Housing Authority of the City of Milwaukee, who owns the private sewer, has expressed a desire to convey it to the City of Milwaukee; and

Whereas, The private main sewer has been examined and found to be in good condition; and

Whereas, An existing combined sewer in North 18th Street, owned by the Housing Authority, is in poor condition and will be replaced by a new storm sewer built at the Housing Authority's expense; and

Whereas, The new storm sewer will provide street and alley drainage, as well as service to multiple properties, making it necessary that it be a public main storm sewer; now, therefore, be it
