Whereas, The Community Block Grant Administration (CBGA) released a Request-for-Proposal (RFP) in the amount of $38,000 for Neighborhood Strategic Planning Area (NSP 12) for the activity of Community Organizing /Crime Awareness Prevention/Neighborhood Strategic Planning; and

 

Whereas, CBGA has received only one RFP application for NSP Area 12 and has reviewed the application (See Attachment A); and

 

Whereas, The Community Development Committee recommends approval to award $38,000 of 2004 CDBG funding to the Social Development Commission as the Service Provider for the Neighborhood Strategic Planning Area 12; now therefore, be it

 

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, hereby approves the 2004 CDBG funding award of $38,000 to the Social Development Commission as Service Provider for NSP Area 12; and, be it

 

Further Resolved, That CBGA is responsible for awarding a subrecipient contract for the approved activities; and, be it

 

Further Resolved, That the subrecipient organizations shall submit budget and activity reports in amounts and according to any conditions approved by the Common Council and in accordance with File Number 74-92-5v, to the Community Block Grant Administration and the City Comptroller for review and approval; and, be it

 

Further Resolved, That payments for CDBG cost incurred shall be paid in accordance with approved CDBG reimbursement policy based on the approval by the Community Block Grant Administration and the City Comptroller; and, be it

 

Further Resolved, That except as modified by this resolution, the guidelines for handling the Community Development Block Grant Program set forth in Common Council File Number 74-92-5v are fully applicable to the Community Development Entitlement Funding Program.
