This ordinance will rescind the ordinances changing West Juneau Avenue between North 17th Street and North 18th Street and a portion of West McKinley Avenue between North 17th Street and North 18th Street to Pedestrian Mall.
Body
Whereas, Ordinance Number 262, Common Council File Number 71-1253, adopted on October 5, 1971, changed a portion of West Juneau Avenue between North 17th Street and North 18th Street to Pedestrian Mall; and
Whereas, Ordinance Number 263, Common Council File Number 71-1254, adopted on October 5, 1971, changed a portion of West McKinley Avenue between North 17th Street and North 18th Street to Pedestrian Mall; and
Whereas, The redevelopment of the area bounded by West Juneau Avenue, West McKinley Avenue, North 17th Street and North 20th Street would require that these streets provide for through vehicular traffic; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the status of Pedestrian Mall be removed from the following described public streets:
West Juneau Avenue
That part of the Northeast ¼ of Section 30, Township 7 North, Range 22 East, described as follows: Commencing at the southeast corner of Block 7 of Well's Addition, a recorded subdivision in said Northeast ¼ Section and the Southeast ¼ of Section 19, Township 7 North, Range 22 East, said point lying in the present north line of West Juneau Avenue; thence Westerly, along the south line of said subdivision and the north line of said Northeast ¼ Section, to a point on a curve, said point lying 69.92 feet west of the southeast corner of B...
