Whereas, The Common Council of the City of Milwaukee has previously approved 2004 CDBG funding to the Midtown Neighborhood Association (MTNA) for the activity of Community Organizing Services in the amount of $38,000 for Neighborhood Strategic Planning (NSP) Area 12; and
Whereas, The MTNA notified the Community Block Grant Administration (CBGA) that they will no longer provide Community Organizing Services for NSP Area 12 (see Attachment A); and
Whereas, The Community Development Committee recommends approval to accept the return of $38,000 from MTNA, and allow CBGA to initiate a Request-For-Proposal (RFP) process for NSP Area 12 to locate a new Service Provider for the activity Community Organizing services; now therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, hereby approves the return of CDBG funding and allow CBGA to initiate a RFP process to find another Community Organizing Service Provider for NSP Area 12.
