Analysis
This ordinance establishes fees for certain priority plan reviews conducted by the department of city development where the reviews are completed in less than the normal processing times.

The priority plan review fees will be double the regular fees for: new commercial buildings and structures, additions and alterations and parking lots; flammable and combustible liquid storage systems installation; upgrading stage II vapor recovery; plumbing; and transmission towers.

The priority plan examination fee for a fire detection and suppression system, other than a sprinkler system, shall be computed at 1% of the cost of construction in contrast to the 0.5% rate used for a non-priority review.

In addition, this ordinance establishes a fee of $75 per hour for code consultation regarding the Uniform Dwelling Code, and a fee of $150 per hour for code consultation regarding the Wisconsin Enrolled Commercial Building Code or the Wisconsin Plumbing Code.
