Analysis

This resolution amends Common Council File 960768 relative to acceptance and subsequent expenditure of contributions received by the City for the Health Department's STD and AIDS/HIV Program.

Body

Whereas, Common Council File 960768 authorized the Health Department to accept $5,000 of contributions for the department's STD and AIDS/HIV Program and to expend such funds for STD medications and other preventive therapies; and

Whereas, The Health Department now anticipates receiving an additional $5,500 for the STD and AIDS/HIV Program from the Wisconsin AIDS Walk through the AIDS Resource Center; now, therefore, be it

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the Health Department is authorized to accept an additional $5,500 of contributions for the department's STD and AIDS/HIV Program and to expend such funds for this purpose, no more than the amount actually received, in accordance with established City policies and procedures; and, be it

Further Resolved, That upon receipt and deposit of these funds, the City Comptroller is authorized and directed to establish a special account within the Health Department's budget for the expenditure of the contributions; and, be it

Further Resolved, That the City Comptroller is authorized and directed to transfer appropriations and estimated revenue from the Special Purpose Account for Contributions, 0001-2110-0001-006300, and the Estimated Revenue Account for Contributions, 0001-2110-0001-009850, to the Health Department's special account and the Department's estimated revenue account, 0001-3810-006300-D382, and the Estimated Revenue Account for the Health ...
