Analysis
This resolution will result in the acceptance of a donated vacant lot.
Body
Whereas, David D. McCarrell wishes to donate to the City of Milwaukee a vacant lot at 2607-09 North 36th Street, which is adjacent to two City-owned, vacant, tax-deed lots; and
Whereas, The City lots are located in an area which has become desirable for new residential construction, namely the Washington Park Revitalization Area; and
Whereas, Acceptance of this vacant lot combined with said City-owned vacant lots will create two sites for new residential construction and the consortium which makes up the task force for this area will be notified; and
Whereas, The Department of City Development recommends acceptance of the deed contingent upon receiving clear title along with a historical check to assure that no potential environmental problems exist; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that said donation is accepted and that the property will be added to the City of Milwaukee's inventory.
