Whereas, Members of the Judiciary and Legislation Committee have reviewed the records relating to the incident in which the claimant's vehicle was damaged, and have taken testimony from the claimant and City representatives. Based on this review, members of the Committee believe it is most cost-effective to compromise and reduce the amount claimed from $1,601.71 to $748.55. The amount recommended for settlement of the claim, $748.55, recognizes that there is some liability for both parties; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the proper city officers be and they hereby are authorized and directed to issue a city check in the total sum of $748.55 payable to Cheryl Lynn Salas, 2700 E. Bel Aire Drive, Apt. #284, Arlington Heights, IL 60004, to reimburse her for auto damage; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the check is to be delivered upon presentation of a proper release, approved by the City Attorney; said amount to be charged to Account No. 636505, Fund - 0001, Organization - 1490, Program - 2631, Sub Class - S118. This resolution would release the City from any further liability arising from this incident.
