Ordinance to establish a Master Sign Program Overlay Zone for land located on the East Side of North 76th Street and the North Side of West Mill Road in the 9th Aldermanic District. (DCD)
Analysis
This ordinance establishes a Master Sign Program Overlay Zone and approves Exhibit A relating to sign design standards.
Body
The Mayor and Common Council of the City of Milwaukee ("Common Council"), do ordain as follows:
Part 1. There is added to the Milwaukee Code of Ordinances ("Code") a new section to read as follows:
Section 295-1017.0001. The zoning map is amended to establish a Master Sign Program Overlay Zone (MSP) for a part of Block 72, part of Lots 18 and 19 and all of Lot 20, and part of Lots 21 through 24 in Block 73, together with part of Lot 9 and all of Lots 10 through 22 in Block 78 and all of vacated North 74th Street and vacated West Clovernook Street adjoining said lots, being in Menomonee River Hills East in the Southwest 1/4 of the Southwest 1/4 of Section 22, Town 8 North, Range 21 East, in the City of Milwaukee, Milwaukee County, Wisconsin, which is bounded and described as follows:
Commencing at the Southwest corner of said Block 72; thence North 00 deg. 23 min. 50 sec. East along the west line of Block 72 aforesaid 130.00 feet to the point of beginning of the lands herein to be described; continuing thence North 00 deg. 23 min. 50 sec. East 111.83 feet to a point; thence South 86 deg. 28 min. 14 sec. East 195.42 feet to a point on the west line of said Parcel 1; thence North 03 deg. 53 min. 20 sec. East 339.39 feet to a point; thence North 89 deg. 29 min. 43 sec. West 215.80 feet to a point; thence North 00 deg. 23 min. 50 sec. East 51.83 feet to a point; thence South 86 deg. 06 min. 50 sec. East 287.35 feet to a point; thence North 03 deg. 53 min. 10 sec. East 184.00 feet to a point; thence South 86 deg. 06 min. 50 sec. East 338.01 feet to a point; thence South 03 deg. 53 min. 10 sec. West 760.46 feet to a point; thence South 01 deg. 57 min. 50 sec. East 4.00 feet to a point on the south line of said Block 78; thence due West along the south line of Blocks 72 and 78 aforesaid 469.30 feet to a point; thence North 00 deg. 23 min. 50 sec. East 130.00 feet to a point; thence due West and parallel to the south line of Block 72 aforesaid 120.00 feet to the point of beginning.
Part 2. In accordance with the provisions of Section 295-1017(2)(a) of the Code relating to the establishment of Master Sign Program Overlay Zones, the Common Council approves the sign program, a copy of which is attached to this Common Council File as Exhibit A which is on file in the office of the City Clerk and made a part thereof as though fully set forth herein.
