This resolution amends Common Council File 030797 relative to application, acceptance and funding of the Survnet Grant. The purpose of the grant is to maintain a Countywide system for reporting communicable diseases in Milwaukee.
Body
Whereas, Common Council File 030797 authorized the Health Department to apply for, accept and fund the Survnet Grant from the State of Wisconsin Division of Health and Family Services for the purpose of maintaining a Countywide system for reporting communicable diseases in Milwaukee. This grant provided for a Grantor share total of $56,000; and
Whereas, The Grantor share for this program is increased by $25,000; now, therefore be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee that application to the State of Wisconsin Division of Health and Family Services is authorized and the Health Department shall accept such a grant without further Common Council approval unless the terms of the grant change as indicated in Common Council File 940843 (Grant Ordinance); and, be it
Further Resolved, That the City Comptroller is authorized to commit funds within Project/Grant Parent 2003 Special Revenue Grant and Aid Projects fund, the following amount for the project titled Survnet Grant:
