Analysis
This resolution approves a one-year service agreement between the City of Milwaukee and Advanced Circulatory Systems, Inc. (ACSI), Eden Prairie, Minnesota. ACSI is a company that researches, develops and markets innovative therapies for use in cardiopulmonary resuscitation and in the treatment of shock.  
 
Body
Whereas, Advanced Circulatory Systems, Inc. (ACSI), located at 7615 Golden Triangle Drive, Eden Prairie, Minnesota, is a company that researches, develops and markets innovative therapies for use in cardiopulmonary resuscitation and in the treatment of shock; and                  
 
Whereas, With national survival rates less than 5%, ACSI conducts research for ways to improve survival rates and neurological outcome for victims of sudden cardiac arrest; and
 
Whereas, The Milwaukee Fire Department would provide services to ACSI to assist it in the administration of its clinical research in the City of Milwaukee; and
 
Whereas, ACSI would provide a grant to the Fire Department in exchange for the services it receives from the City; and
 
Whereas, Details of the one year agreement between the City and ACSI are contained in the document attached to this file; now, therefore, be it
 
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the City of Milwaukee's Fire Department is authorized to enter into a service agreement with Advanced Circulatory Systems, Inc., a copy of which is attached to this file.
