Analysis
This resolution rescinds Common Council Resolution File Number 86-81, adopted on April 16, 1986, which directed the city engineer to provide a current listing to the city clerk of the vertical clearances beneath all downtown skywalks. Because s. 105-55.5 of the code, enacted in 1989, provides administrative procedures for all permit applications for special events on the public right-of-way to be reviewed, approved and classified by the police department and department of public works, it is unnecessary for the city engineer to continue to provide a current listing to the city clerk of all the vertical clearances beneath all downtown skywalks.
Body
Whereas, Common Council Resolution File Number 86-81, adopted on April 16, 1986, directed the city engineer to prepare and keep current a listing of the vertical clearances beneath all downtown skywalks and to provide a current listing to the city clerk, who was directed to provide a copy of the current listing to all parties requesting approval of parades in the downtown; and

Whereas, Common Council File Number 882107, adopted on April 4, 1989, created s. 105-55.5 of the code, which provides administrative procedures for all permit applications for special events on the public right-of-way to be reviewed, approved and classified by the police department and department of public works; and

Whereas, It is unnecessary for the city engineer to continue to provide a current listing to the city clerk of all the vertical clearances beneath all downtown skywalks; now, therefore, be it
