Analysis
This resolution will remove a deed restriction imposed by the City of Milwaukee that prohibits construction of a principal building.
Body
Whereas, Pursuant to Common Council File No. 990111, adopted May 11, 1999, the City of Milwaukee conveyed to Marie Gordon by Quit Claim Deed dated August 5, 1999, a tax-deed, vacant lot at 2437 North 14th Street that joined her property at 2443 North 14th Street; and
 
Whereas, The deed of conveyance contained restrictions that "the land herein conveyed shall be used as open space and no principal building may be erected thereon"; and
 
Whereas, Removal of the deed restriction is required to allow Marie Gordon to build a new single-family, owner-occupied home; now, therefore, be it
 
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the proper City officials are authorized and directed to execute the necessary legal documents to remove the restriction contained in the deed dated August 5, 1999, to allow for residential construction on said site.
