Analysis
This resolution will result in the sale of two vacant, tax-deed lots for business expansion and parking.
Body
Whereas, The Westside Healthcare Association, Inc., ("WHA") with its property located at 3508-10 West Lisbon Avenue, has offered $2 to purchase two vacant, tax-deed lots located at 3504-06 West Lisbon Avenue and 1902 North 36th Street; and
 
Whereas, WHA owns most of the block face and is expanding its business, thus requiring additional off-street parking; and
 
Whereas, The Department of City Development ("DCD") recommends acceptance of the Offer from WHA contingent upon site plan approval; and
 
Whereas, Said lots are being sold in an "as is" condition and the City makes no representations as to soil or subsoil condition; and
 
Whereas, The City Plan Commission has determined that said lots are surplus to municipal needs; now, therefore, be it
 
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that said lots are declared surplus, that the Offer from the Westside Healthcare Association, Inc., is accepted, that the Commissioner of DCD, or assigns, is authorized and directed to perform such acts as necessary to carry out the intent of this resolution and that the proceeds from the sale be credited to the Reserve For Tax Deficit Fund, Account No. 0001-334106.
