Analysis
This resolution will result in the acceptance of a donated vacant lot.
Body
Whereas, Sampson Investments has requested that the City accept donation of a vacant lot at 3917 North 3rd Street and have submitted a clear title for the property; and
Whereas, There are no outstanding taxes, violations or potential environmental concerns involved with this property; and
Whereas, The Sampson Investments' property adjoins a City tax-deed, vacant lot and the two will be combined and marketed for new residential construction; and
Whereas, The Department of City Development ("DCD") recommends acceptance of said vacant lot donation; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the donation of the vacant lot located at 3917 North 3rd Street is accepted, that said lot will be placed in inventory, combined with the adjoining City vacant lot and marketed for new residential construction, that the Commissioner of DCD, or assigns, is authorized and directed to perform such acts as necessary to carry out the intent of this resolution.
