Analysis
This resolution amends Common Council File 021617 which amended Common Council File 020717 relative to application, acceptance and funding of the Racial and Ethnic Disparities in Immunization Initiative Grant. The purpose of the grant is to increase and improve influenza and pneumonia vaccination rates for adults 65 years of age and older in African American and Hispanic communities.

Body
Whereas, Common Council File 021617 amended Common Council File 020717 which authorized the Health Department to apply for, accept and fund the Racial and Ethnic Disparities in Immunization Initiative Grant from the State of Wisconsin Division of Health and Family Services for the purpose of increasing and influencing influenza and pneumonia vaccination rates for adults 65 years of age and older in African American and Hispanic communities. This grant provided for a Grantor share total of $209,676; and

Whereas, The Grantor share for this program is increased by $25,000; now, therefore be it

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee that, application to the State of Wisconsin Division of Health and Family Services is authorized and the Health Department shall accept such a grant without further Common Council approval unless the terms of the grant change as indicated in Common Council File 940843 (Grant Ordinance); and, be it

Further Resolved, That the City Comptroller is authorized to:

1. Commit funds within Project/Grant Parent of the 2003 Special Revenue-Grant and Aid Projects Funds, the following amount for the project titled Racial and Ethnic Disparities in Immunization Initiative Grant:
