Analysis
This resolution authorizes the Commissioner of Public Works to install interim street lighting facilities, to install permanent street lighting facilities and remove interim street lighting facilities on West Clybourn Street/West Tory Hill/West Michigan Street from a point west of N 16th Street to a point east of North 9th Street in conjunction with the first stage of reconstruction of the Marquette Interchange. Funding for the construction of the street lighting improvements is to be provided by the Wisconsin Department of Transportation under the Federally funded State Highway Improvement Program as part of the interchange project.
Body
Whereas, The Wisconsin Department of Transportation is reconstructing the Marquette interchange of IH 94, USH 41, IH43, and IH 794 under the State Highway Improvement Program; and

Whereas, The Interchange reconstruction project provides cost participation for street lighting improvements; and

Whereas, The total estimated cost of street lighting improvements included as part of this project is; $172,651.37; and

Whereas, A maximum of ten percent of the participating project cost, or $17,265.14, is non-reimbursable and is included in the Division's 2003 Capital Purpose Account, Project/Grant Number ST240030400; and

Whereas, A minimum of ninety percent of the participating project cost, or $155,386.23, is reimbursable from the Wisconsin Department of Transportation, and should be earmarked for this project in the 2003 Capital Grant and Aid Proje...
