Analysis
This resolution authorizes the Commissioner of Public Works to enter into an agreement with Milwaukee County's Department of Public Works for the design, construction, operation, and maintenance of a new traffic signal at the intersection of West Fond du Lac Avenue and West Mill Road. Subsequent to the execution of this agreement by both agencies, this resolution further authorizes the Commissioner of Public Works to install a new traffic signal at the intersection of West Fond du Lac Avenue and West Mill Road.
Body
Whereas, The County of Milwaukee believes that the installation of a new traffic signal is warranted for traffic control signal installation; and

Whereas, The issues of cost sharing, responsibility, and liability will be described and agreed to in this agreement; and

Whereas, The total estimated cost of this installation is $32,000, one-half of which is being provided by funds from our 2003 Capital Budget and one-half being reimbursed by the Milwaukee County Department of Public Works; and, be it

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the Commissioner of Public Works be and hereby is authorized and directed to enter into an agreement between the City of Milwaukee and the Milwaukee County Department of Public Works for the design, construction, operation, and maintenance of a new traffic control signal at the i...
