Recommendation of renewal with a 20-day suspension based upon neighborhood objections for the Class "B" Tavern license of Ana Aguilera Del Castillo for the premises located at 2011 W. Forest Home Ave. ("El Tequila") in the 8th Aldermanic District. (Committee vote: Ayes: 5, Noes: 0)
Recommendation of renewal of the Class "B" Tavern license and renewal with a 25-day suspension for the Tavern Dance license of Ramon Orozco for the premises located at 1332 W. Lincoln Ave. ("Club Hermanos") in the 12th Aldermanic District. (Committee vote: Ayes: 4, Noes: 1)
Recommendation of renewal with a 75-day suspension of the Class "B" Tavern license of Marvin Berg, III, for the premises located at 162 W. Wisconsin Ave. ("Pure") in the 4th Aldermanic District. (Committee vote: Ayes: 4, Noes: 1)
The President questioned whether the members of the Common Council read the Report and Recommendations of the Utilities and Licenses Committee in the matter and any written exceptions?
Ayes: 14 - Ald. Davis, D'Amato, Bohl, Johnson-Odom, Gordon, Donovan, Richards, Wade, Dudzik, Witkowski, Breier, Nardelli, Murphy and Hines.
Excused: 2 - Ald. Pratt and Sanchez.
THE CHAIR asked whether the following applicants or their counsel were present and wished to address the Council.
ALD. BOHL moved to send the Class "D" bartender application of Jay Culp back to the Utilities and Licenses Committee.
The motion prevailed.
Deborah Colavita was present and wished to address the Common Council.
Ald. Witkowski moved that the Common Council do now resolve itself into a committee of the Whole for the purpose of hearing from Deborah Colavita
and Assistant City Attorney Bruce Schrimpf relative to the foregoing matter.
PROCEEDINGS OF THE COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE
Deborah Colavita and Assistant City Attorney Bruce Schrimpf appeared and addressed the committee relative to the foregoing matter.
ALD. HINES moved that the commitee do now rise.
ALD. BOHL moved for adoption of bartender license of Deborah Colavita with a 10 day suspension.
The motion prevailed by the following vote:
Ayes: 10 - Ald. Davis, Bohl, Johnson-Odom, Gordon, Donovan, Wade, Dudzik, Witkowski, Breier and Murphy.
Noes: 4 - Ald. D'Amato, Richards, Nardelli and Hines.
Excused: 2 - Ald. Pratt and Sanchez.
ALD. HINES moved that the committee go back into the Committee of the Whole for the purpose of hearing arguments relating to renewal with a
20-day suspension based upon neighborhood objections for the Class "B" Tavern license of Ana Aguilera Del Castillo for the premises located at 2011 W. Forest Home Ave. ("El Tequila") in the 8th Aldermanic District.

Assistant City Attorney Bruce Schrimpf addressed the Council relating to the foregoing matter.

Attorney Franklyn Gimbel appeared and addressed the council relative to the
recommendation of renewal with a 75-day suspension of the Class "B" Tavern license of Marvin Berg, III, for the premises located at 162 W. Wisconsin Ave. ("Pure") in the 4th Aldermanic District.
ALD. WADE moved that the Committee do now rise.
ALD. DUDZIK moved to amend the 75 day suspension to a 45 day suspension for the Class "B" Tavern and Tavern Amusement License for "Pure" at 162 W. Wisconsin Avenue.
Ayes: 8 - Ald. Davis, D'Amato, Johnson-Odom, Gordon, Richards, Wade, Dudzik, Nardelli.
Noes: 6 - Ald. Bohl, Donovan, Witkowski, Breier, Murphy and Hines.
Excused: 2 - Ald. Sanchez and Pratt.
ALD. MURPHY moved to change the 20-day suspension to a 45 -day suspension for Ana Aguillera Del Castillo.
The motion failed.
Ayes: 4 - Ald. Wade, Witkowski, Nardelli and Murphy.
Noes: 10 - Ald. Davis, D'Amato, Bohl, Johnson-Odom, Gordon, Donovan, Richards, Dudzik, Breier and Hines.
Excused: 2 - Ald. Pratt and Sanchez.
