Body
Whereas, Common Council Resolution File Number 010651 authorized and directed the Commissioner of Public Works to execute a Project Agreement with the Wisconsin Department of Transportation for the programming and preliminary engineering for the Canal Street Reconstruction/Extension project; and

Whereas, The Canal Street Reconstruction/Extension project will include relocation of an existing spur track within the Canal Street roadway to an alternate location outside of the roadway; and

Whereas, The relocated spur track will establish a new at-grade railroad crossing over South 11th Street; and

Whereas, It appears that the new spur track will not achieve statutory horizontal and vertical clearance requirements; and

Whereas, Approval from the State of Wisconsin, Office of the Commissioner of Railroads is necessary for the establishment of the new at-grade crossing and construction of the new spur that does not meet statutory clearance requirements; now, therefore, be it
