Analysis
This resolution directs the Department of City Development to prepare a resolution which vacates said portion of street in accordance with vacation proceedings under power granted to the City of Milwaukee by Section 66.297(1), Wisconsin Statutes, and Section 81-308-28, Milwaukee Code of Ordinances. This vacation was requested by the Redevelopment Authority of the City of Milwaukee to eliminate encroachment of staircases for future residential development within the Beerline "B" master plan area.

Whereas, It has been proposed by the Department of City Development that a portion of the North Side of North Commerce Street located West of North Humboldt Avenue be vacated pursuant to the provisions of Section 66.297, Wisconsin Statutes; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the Department of City Development is directed to prepare a resolution to vacate said portion of street in accordance with Section 81-308-28 of the Milwaukee Code of Ordinances.
