Body
Whereas, Milwaukee Habitat For Humanity, Inc., ("MHFH") has offered $1.00 to purchase the vacant, tax-deed lot at 3813-15 West Galena Street, which is located in its target area for new construction; and
Whereas, The Department of City Development ("DCD") recommends acceptance of the offer from MHFH, Inc., contingent upon site and building plan approval by its planning department; and
Whereas, Said lot is being sold in an "as is" condition and the City makes no representations as to soil or subsoil condition; and
Whereas, The City Plan Commission has determined that said lot is surplus to municipal needs; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that said lot is declared surplus, that the offer from Milwaukee Habitat For Humanity, Inc., is accepted, that the Commissioner of DCD, or assigns, is authorized and directed to perform such acts as necessary to carry out the intent of this resolution and that the proceeds from the sale be credited to the Reserve For Tax Deficit Fund, Account No. 0001-334106.
