Whereas, The City of Milwaukee Department of Employee Relations with Willis Corp. of Wisconsin and GBH, Inc. solicited responses to Requests for Proposals for Health Maintenance Organizations (HMOs), Fee-for-Service Dental plans and Flexible Choices program providers; and
Whereas, A six-person team from the City of Milwaukee, including representatives from Department of Employee Relations (DER), City Clerk-Legislative Reference Bureau, Dept. of Administration-Budget & Management Division and Comptroller's Office reviewed the responses and associated costs for each of the three benefit programs; and
Whereas, The team and DER are now making recommendations regarding the three benefit programs; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the City of Milwaukee, that DER is authorized to enter into a contract with the CompcareBlue Health Services for their CompcareBlue Traditional HMO Network and their CompcareBlue Aurora Family HMO Network for HMO health services for City employees and retirees in 2004; and, be it
Further Resolved, That DER is authorized to enter into a contract with WPS and Delta Dental for prepaid dental services in 2004; and, be it
Further Resolved, That DER is authorized to enter into a contract with The Flex Company to administer the City's flexible benefits program for three years, 2004-2005 and 2006.
