Analysis
This resolution amends Common Council File 020043 relative to application, acceptance and funding of the Sexually Transmitted Diseases Grant. The purpose of the grant is to reduce the incidence and complications of sexually transmitted diseases through preventive health education services and focused disease intervention activities.

Whereas, Common Council File 020043 authorized the Health Department to apply for, accept and fund the Sexually Transmitted Diseases Grant from the State of Wisconsin Division of Health and Family Services to reduce the incidence and complications of sexually transmitted diseases through preventive health education services and focused disease intervention activities. This grant provided for a Grantor share total of $126,636; and
Whereas, The Grantor share for this program is increased by $21,640 and the grant period is extended through December 31, 2003; now, therefore be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee that application to the State of Wisconsin Division of Health and Family Services is authorized and the Health Department shall accept such a grant without further Common Council approval unless the terms of the grant change as indicated in Common Council File 940843 (Grant Ordinance); and, be it
Further Resolved, That the City Comptroller is authorized to:
1. Commit funds within Project/Grant Parent of the 2003 Special Revenue-Grant and Aid Projects Funds, the following amount for the project titled Sexually Transmitted Diseases Grant:
