Resolution authorizing the proper City officers to enter into an Out-of-Program Agreement between the City of Milwaukee and St. Luke's Medical Center regarding the design, construction, and funding of water main improvements required in conjunction with hospital expansion. (DPW)

Analysis

This resolution approves an Out-of-Program Agreement between the City and St. Luke's Medical Center.  Construction of the hospital's newest facility along the south side of West Kinnickinnic River Parkway requires extension of a water main.  This agreement identifies how that water main will be designed, funded, and constructed.

Body

Whereas, St. Luke's Medical Center plans to construct a new hospital facility on the south side of West Kinnickinnic River Parkway immediately east of the southeast branch of the Kinnickinnic River; and

Whereas, In order to provide water service to the proposed new building, a new water main must be constructed in West Kinnickinnic River Parkway a distance of approximately 425 feet west from that street's intersection with South 29^th Street; and

Whereas, St. Luke's Medical Center will provide the necessary funds for the water main extension and all related improvements; now, therefore, be it

Resolved, That the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee hereby authorizes the proper City officers to execute an Out-of-Program Agreement between the City of Milwaukee and St. Luke's Medical Center, said agreement being attached to this file; and, be it

Further Resolved, That the Commissioner of Public Works is hereby authorized to make minor, non-substantive changes to the agreement prior to its execution.
