Analysis
This resolution authorizes the Commissioner of Public Works to issue an Occupancy Permit to the M.A. Mortenson Company during construction of the Kilbourn Tower condominium project to be located at the southwest corner of East Kilbourn and North Prospect Avenues. The permit would allow Mortenson to occupy the eastbound lanes and the adjacent median of East Kilbourn Avenue between North Marshall Street and North Prospect during construction. The permit would also allow Mortenson to occupy the sidewalk area, parking lane and one travel lane of North Prospect Avenue adjacent to the project site.
Body
Whereas, The M.A. Mortenson Company has been hired by the project developer to construct the Kilbourn Tower condominium building; and

Whereas, The project site is very constrained with the building planned to cover its entire area; and

Whereas, Given the constraints of the site, certain staging and construction activities will necessarily spill over into adjacent streets; and

Whereas, Construction is expected to last from June 2003 until approximately the end of 2004; and

Whereas, Mortenson has requested permission to occupy the eastbound lanes and the adjacent median of East Kilbourn Avenue between North Marshall Street and North Prospect Avenue as well as the sidewalk area, the parking lane and one travel lane of North Prospect Avenue abutting the construction site; and
