Title
Substitute resolution approving a Redevelopment Plan for the Green Tree Business Park (formerly titled a Redevelopment Plan for the Bacher Farms Industrial Park), in the 9th Aldermanic District.
Analysis
Adoption of this substitute resolution by at least two-thirds vote of the Common Council will satisfy the requirements of Section 66.1303(4), Wisconsin Statutes, regarding approval of a Redevelopment Plan for the above-identified project area. Such approval also is a mandatory pre-requisite for exercising the powers granted to the Redevelopment Authority of the City of Milwaukee under Wisconsin law for certification and implementation of the Redevelopment Plan.
Body
Whereas, By adoption of File No. 991473 on January 18, 2000, the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee (“Common Council”) approved the project area boundary and authorized the Redevelopment Authority of the City of Milwaukee (“RACM”) to prepare a Redevelopment Plan (“Plan”) for the Green Tree Business Park project area; and

Whereas, RACM prepared a Plan, a copy of which is attached to this Common Council File, gave proper notice to property owners within the project area and conducted a Public Hearing on the Plan on August 21, 2003, pursuant to Wisconsin Statutes; and

Whereas, After the Public Hearing, RACM approved the Plan and requested approval by the Common Council; and

Whereas, The City Plan Commission of the City of Milwaukee reviewed the Plan on September 8, 2003, and determined that it conforms to the General Plan of the City of Milwaukee and to local objectives, pursuant to Section 66.1303(3)(b), Wisconsin Statutes, as amended; and

Whereas, The Plan recommends certain light industrial land uses and objectives for job density, access and circulation and general standards for development; now, therefore, be it
