Title
Resolution permitting a minor modification to the Detailed Planned Development (DPD) known as Walton's Calumet Square, located at 7701 West Calumet Road, in the 9th Aldermanic District. (DCD)
Analysis
This resolution will allow for the relocation of the liquor sales area from the Northeast corner to the center of the store.
Body
Whereas, Section 295-814(5) of the Milwaukee Code of Ordinances permits modifications to planned developments after approval of the Common Council; and
 
Whereas, The third amendment to the detailed plan for a planned development known as Walton's Calumet Square was approved by the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee on August 1, 2002, under File No. 020154 to allow for the expansion of the existing Sam's Club building for liquor sales; and
 
Whereas, The owner proposes to relocate the liquor sales area from the Northeast corner to the center of the store without expanding the previously approved square footage; and
 
Whereas, The proposed use is consistent with the spirit and intent of the approved detailed plan, will not adversely affect surrounding development and a copy of which is attached to this Common Council File as Exhibit A which is on file in the office of the City Clerk and made a part as though fully set forth herein; now, therefore, be it
 
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the minor modification to allow for the relocation of the liquor sales area from the Northeast corner to the center of the store that was not previously approved as part of the Amended Detailed Planned Development is approved.
