Analysis
This resolution authorizes the Commissioner of Public Works to install a new traffic control signal at the intersection of West Capitol Drive and North 56th Street and remove an existing traffic control signal at the intersection of West Capitol Drive and North 55th Street.
Body
Whereas, Traffic control signals have been determined as necessary for the safe operation of the intersection of West Capitol Drive and North 56th Street and are no longer necessary for the intersection of West Capitol Drive and North 55th Street due to changes in traffic patterns of the Midtown Center; and

Whereas, The total estimated combined cost of the installation and removal is $20,000, which is being provided by the developer of the Midtown Center, Boulder Venture; now, therefore, be it

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the Commissioner of Public Works be and hereby is authorized and directed to install a new traffic control signal at the intersection of West Capitol Drive and North 56th Street and remove an existing traffic control signal at the intersection of West Capitol Drive and North 55th Street; and, be it

Further Resolved, That the City Comptroller is hereby authorized to create the appropriate Project/Grant Number for this installation of a new traffic control signal at the intersection of West Capitol Drive and North 56th Street and removal of an existing traffic control signal at the intersection of West Capitol Drive and North 55th Street.
