Title

Analysis
This substitute resolution authorizes the transfer and expenditure of $60,000 for the East Capitol Drive Streetscape Project. Said streetscape project proposes to enhance East Capitol Drive between Humboldt Boulevard and 2nd Street.
Body
Whereas, On October 19, 1999, the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee (“Common Council”) created Business Improvement District No. 25 (“BID No. 25”) via File No. 990930 and approved its first year Operating Plan; and

Whereas, The first year Operating Plan for BID No. 25 called for the BID Board to enter into an agreement with the City of Milwaukee (“City”) for financing, installation and maintenance of a mutually acceptable streetscape improvement project for the Riverworks Business Improvement District; and

Whereas, The 2003 Capital Budget for the City contains $60,000 in the Neighborhood Commercial District Street Improvement Fund; and

Whereas, The Common Council adopted File No. 921490 which established guidelines for use of the Neighborhood Commercial District Street Improvement Fund; and

Whereas, The proposed streetscape project meets those guidelines; now, therefore, be it

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the City Comptroller is authorized and directed to transfer $60,000 from the Neighborhood Commercial District Street Improvement Fund to Project Account No. ST04083100; and, be it

Further Resolved, That the City Comptroller, in conjunction with Commissioner of the Department of City Development, is authorized and directed to establish any and all subaccounts and follow the City guidelines necessary to maintain the fiscal control to carry out the intent and purpose of this r...
