Analysis
This resolution will result in the sale of a remnant parcel of land to the adjoining owners.
Body
Whereas, Mary E. Bantz and Delphine A. Gurzynski with their property located at 7050 North 124th Street have offered $200 to purchase the City-owned remnant parcel of land located at 7040-Adjacent North 124th Street which adjoins their property; and
 
Whereas, The Department of City Development recommends acceptance of the Offer since it represents adequate compensation to cover the transaction cost and it will reduce the City's maintenance cost and ownership liability; and
 
Whereas, The City Plan Commission has determined that this remnant parcel is surplus to the City's needs; now, therefore, be it
 
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the remnant parcel located at 7040-Adjacent North 124th Street is declared surplus, that the Department of City Development is authorized and directed to accept the Offer to Purchase from Mary E. Bantz and Delphine A. Gurzynski and that the proper City officials are authorized and directed to perform such acts as necessary to carry out the intent of this resolution with the proceeds from this sale credited to the Non-Tax-Deed Property Account No. 983014-0001-1911-5840-2003.
