Whereas, Arthur L. Jones has filed charges of discrimination against the City of Milwaukee and the Fire and Police Commission, EEOC Charge No. 260A200714; and
 
Whereas, The City Attorney has advised the Common Council that he cannot represent the City and the Fire and Police Commission in this matter; and
 
Whereas, File Number 020385 appropriated $25,000 for this case and all but $6,029.82 has been expended to date and additional funding is needed; now, therefore, be it
 
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the expenditure of  $30,000 is authorized from the Outside Counsel/Expert Witness Fund Special Purpose Account No. 0001- 1490-0001-S157-2002-006300 to the City Attorney's Office for purpose of retaining outside counsel in A.L. Jones v. City of Milwaukee - Fire and Police Commission, EEOC Charge No. 260A200714; and, be it
 
Further Resolved, That the City Comptroller is authorized and direct to appropriate the sum of $30,000 to the City Attorney's Office budget for the stated purpose; and that the application of the funds appropriated herein to a case other than that specifically referred to herein shall be subject to the further direction of the Common Council.
