Whereas, James M. Pelczynski filed a lawsuit against the City of Milwaukee and Police Officer David July, seeking an unspecified amount of damages as a result of an incident which occurred on August 1, 2000; and
Whereas, The parties have agreed to a total settlement amount of $22,500.00; and
Whereas, The City Attorney recommends and the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee deems it expeditious and just to pay this settlement; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the proper City officers be and are hereby authorized and directed to issue a City check in the amount of $22,500.00, made payable to James M. Pelczynski and the Law Offices of Ronald Bornstein, S.C., in full and final resolution of this claim, said amount to be charged to the Damages and Claims Fund, Account No. 0001-1490-0001-S118-006300.
