Title
Substitute ordinance to further amend the 2003 offices and positions in the City Service under control of the Common Council.

The Mayor and Common Council of the City of Milwaukee do ordain as follows:
Part 1. Section 1 of ordinance File Number 020487 relative to offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows:
Under "Library, Neighborhood Library and Extension Services Decision Unit, Community Outreach & Technology Center (J)", add one position of "Library Circulation Assistant I(J)" and three positions of "Library Circulation Aide (0.56 FTE)(J)", and delete three positions of "Computer Service Aide (0.56 FTE)(J)."
Part 2. Section 1 of ordinance File Number 020487 relative to offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows:
Under "Police Department, Operations Decision Unit, Vice Control", delete two positions of "Lieutenant of Police(K)", two positions of "Police Sergeant(K)" and one position of "Office Assistant II(K)" and add one position of "Lieutenant of Detectives(K)", two positions "Detective(K)" and one position of "Police Officer(K)"; under "Gang Crimes/Criminal Intelligence Division" delete one position of "Office Assistant II(K)" and amend footnote "(K)" as follows: "High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area (HIDTA) Grant. Position authority to expire HIDTA funding and the HIDTA project are discontinued or until 12/31/03 unless the HIDTA grant is extended."
Part 3. All ordinances or parts of ordinances contravening the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed.
Part 4. The provisions of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after the first day of the first pay period following passage and publication.
Part 5. This ordinance will take effect and be in force from and after its passage and publication.
