Minutes note: THE CLERK swore in the Court Reporter. Renewal with a 10-day suspension of the Class "B" Tavern and Tavern Dance License for Devon L. Reid for the premises located at 5409 N. Green Bay Ave. ("Junior's Sports Bar & Grill") (written exceptions have been filed) Renewal with a 40-day suspension of the Class "B" Tavern and Tavern Dance License for Maria D. Albiter for the premises located at 1900 W. Lincoln Ave. ("Tex Mex Place") (supporting documentation has been filed) The President questioned whether the members of the Common Council read the Report and Recommendations of the Utilities and Licenses Committee in the matter and the written exceptions? Ayes: 15 - Ald. D'Amato, Henningsen, Bohl, Johnson-Odom, Gordon, Donovan, Richards, Dudzik, Sanchez, Pawlinski, Breier, Nardelli, Murphy, Hines and President Pratt. Noes: 0. THE CHAIR asked whether the applicants or their counsel were present and wished to address the Council. Devon L. Reid and his counsel Erin Hughes were present. Attorney Erin Hughes wished to address the Council. ALD. SANCHEZ moved that the Common Council do now resolve itself into the Committee of the Whole for the purpose of hearing from the Counsel for the applicant and City Attorney's Office. PROCEEDINGS OF THE COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE Attorney Erin Hughes and Assistant City Attorney Bruce Schrimpf appeared and addressed the committee relative to the foregoing matter. ALD. HENNINGSEN moved that the Committee do now rise. The motion prevailed. ALD. HENNINGSEN moved to grant the licenses of Devon L. Reid without the 10-day suspension. The motion prevailed by the following vote: Ayes: 8 - Ald. D'Amato, Henningsen, Gordon, Richards, Pawlinski, Nardelli, Hines and President Pratt. Noes: 7 - Ald. Bohl, Johnson-Odom, Donovan, Dudzik, Sanchez, Breier and Murphy. Maria Albiter appeared with her Attorney William Padway but did not wish to address the Council. ALD. BOHL moved for adoption of File 021394 as amended. The motion prevailed.
