Analysis
This ordinance, effective with the 2004 spring primary election, changes the number of aldermanic districts from 17 to 15, and lists those election wards which are assigned to each of the 15 aldermanic districts commencing in 2004.
Body
The Mayor and Common Council of the City of Milwaukee do ordain as follows:

Part 1. Section 301-2 of the code, as effected by common council file number 010689, is repealed and recreated to read:

301-2. Aldermanic District Boundaries: 2004. Effective with the 2004 spring primary election, the territory within the limits of the city of Milwaukee shall be divided into 15 aldermanic districts which shall be comprised of the following election wards, as described in resolution file number 010691:

1. FIRST DISTRICT. Wards 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 11, 12, 13, 14, 17, 18, 147, 150, 151, 156, 157, 158, 161, 162.
2. SECOND DISTRICT. Wards 8, 10, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29, 30, 31, 32, 33, 34, 35, 74, 270, 272.
3. THIRD DISTRICT. Wards 38, 39, 40, 41, 42, 43, 44, 45, 46, 47, 48, 49, 50, 51, 52, 53, 54, 55, 102, 103, 105.
4. FOURTH DISTRICT. Wards 56, 58, 59, 60, 61, 62, 65, 66, 67, 68, 69, 70, 71, 72, 73, 310, 311, 312, 313.
5. FIFTH DISTRICT. Wards 75, 76, 77, 78, 79, 80, 81, 82, 83, 84, 85, 86, 87, 88, 89, 90, 91, 92, 93, 94, 266, 267, 271, 273, 274.
