This resolution implements a provision of the 2003 City budget reserving $500,000 in the 2003 Common Council Contingent Fund to pay for a third police recruit class in 2003.

Body

Whereas, The 2003 adopted City budget contains a footnote directing that $500,000 be reserved in the 2003 Common Council Contingent Fund to pay for a third police recruit class in 2003; and

Whereas, The implementation of this footnote would permit the City to defer a final decision as to whether or not it is both necessary and fiscally prudent to schedule this class until later in 2003; now, therefore, be it

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee,  that $500,000 shall be reserved in the 2003 Common Council Contingent Fund to pay for a third police recruit class in 2003.
